History: The first sighting of the Fedora was in October 1933. His first appearance thus predates several more well-known heroes like Starson and Detective Dusk, and he has often been considered "The First" of the masked vigilantes, a claim he himself disputes.

"Look, I never claimed to be the "first of my kind" when it comes to playing dress-up and frightening criminals. Remember Aguila? That Spanish hero back in the 17th century..."

The Fedora would always prove to be a humble hero and was well-known for being a man ahead of his time regarding race relations, befriending cab-driver Bumper of mixed African and Chinese heritage as a life-long friend and partner.

He joined the Victory Society in 1941.

He was also close friends with two other headgear-themed heroes, Gasmask www.speedslide.deviantart.com/art/Gasmask-456557896 and Tophat, the three of them forming an unofficial team.

His closest friend was Dick Sleuth, the hard-boiled private investigator.

The Fedora (or at the very least, the rumored latest successor to the role) went missing in August 2008 and he hasn't been seen since then...

The coat, the fedora, the domino mask... We've seen it all before. DC's Crimson Avenger, The Green Hornet, Will Eisner's Spirit, The Black Bat... Anyways, I did not go for originality with this design and instead opted for simplicity. Personalitywise, his soul is more in the spirit of Will Eisner's Spirit (Pun intended) and not much of a brooder. Characterwise, he's meant to serve as a nod to the classic "proto-superheroes" that you could find in two-fisted tales of old pulp magazines.
